Shaving the Werewolf’s Ottar on Group’s History and New Album, ‘One Way Ticket to Dick City’

StayUp.News editor-in-chief Roberto E. Alejandro recently sat down for a Skype conversation with Ottar (center in the courtesy photo above), vocalist for Shaving the Werewolf, the hardcore group from Oslo, Norway, whose new album One Way Ticket to Dick City will be released on April 23, via Negative Vibe Records. In our discussion, Ottar touches on what it was like to grow up in the Northlands of Norway, the group’s background and influences, as well as the morbid sense of humor that produced song titles such as “Me, Myself and Ironic Distance” and “Pathologically Correct.”
