In a special preview episode of Handz on Health, host Mic Handz details his battle with chronic kidney disease, which he has been fighting for 10 years. Kidney disease affects 30 million American adults; and African Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, and seniors are all at higher risk for the disease; according to the National Kidney Foundation. Since the filming of this preview, Handz has begun dialysis treatment, and his search for a donor kidney continues.
