StayUp.News editor-in-chief Roberto E. Alejandro recently sat down for a phone conversation with Baltimore emcee Napaj about his new EP, “Be Safe.” In our conversation, Napaj touches on the frustrations of middle class Americans who feel stuck in place, his interpretation of the election of Donald Trump, and having to live in fear of law enforcement as a person of color.
Napaj participated in the first experiment in what we refer to as a Hip-Hop methodology of journalism, an experiment that set us on the path toward StayUp.News. Alejandro mentions this in the interview but mistakenly recalls that the experiment occurred in 2016. It occurred on November 5, 2015.
